This Privacy Policy describes how African Models Services Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use the Laundry Space platform ("Service"). We are committed to complying with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and business details when you register.
  • Business Data: Customer records, order information, payment transactions, and inventory data that you input into the Service.
  • Usage Data: Log data, device information, IP address, browser type, and pages visited to help us improve the Service.
  • Payment Information: We do not store your credit card details. Payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party providers (Flutterwave, Paystack).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Laundry Space Service.
  • Process transactions and send related notifications.
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
  • Ensure security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third parties who perform services on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality agreements.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days to allow for export, after which it is permanently deleted. Some data may be retained longer where required by law.

Under the NDPR and POPIA, you have the following rights:

  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten).

Your data is primarily stored and processed within Africa. In some cases, we may use cloud service providers with data centers outside Africa. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure adequate protection through standard contractual clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms approved under NDPR.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
